Mobile Personnel Lifters (MEWPs) Training Programs
The Peak of Safety at Height: ISO 18878 Compliant MEWP’S Competence
Comprehensive Training Programs Compliant with ISO 18878, EN 280 Standards
Sectoral Leadership
Mobile Elevating Work Platforms (MWPs), internationally known as Mobile Personnel Elevator Platforms (MEWPs), are an essential part of modern industry, but their misuse poses the most serious risks of accidents. MEWP-related accidents, occurring every 20 minutes, demonstrate the criticality of operator competence and proper equipment management. At SWL, our training programs, based on the highest international standard, ISO 18878, teach not only how to use equipment but also how to manage risks and build a safe work culture.
Why SWL’s MEWP Training Program?
We offer competence and expertise beyond the standards.
Sector Leadership and Full Compliance with Standards (ISO 18878) We play a leading role in setting the YSIP training standards in Türkiye, and with our experts who served on the TSE Technical Committee during the adaptation of the ISO 18878 standard to Türkiye, we build all our programs on the fundamental principles of this global standard. This ensures that participants not only apply the standards but also understand their spirit.
Technical Expertise and Application Areas
We provide operational excellence with our expert staff who understand the dynamics of different platform types and the challenges brought by sectoral needs.
Platform Types and Specialized Applications:
- Type 1a: Vertical moving platforms (Maintenance, installation works)
- Type 1b: Platforms with vertical movement and limited horizontal access (Warehouse and production facilities)
- Type 3a: Scissor lifts (Large vertical and horizontal area access)
- Type 3b: Articulated/Telescopic boom platforms (Disabled and difficult area work)
Sectoral Specialization Areas
- Refinery and Petrochemical: High risk environment operations
- Electricity Generation, Distribution and Transmission: Line maintenance and related operations
- Construction and Infrastructure: Building assembly and facade works
- Industrial Maintenance: Machine and system maintenance operations
Safety Culture and Risk Management
Beyond technical skills, we foster a proactive safety awareness. Our program addresses all risk factors, from analyzing environmental factors like wind and ground conditions to developing safe platform rescue scenarios. Our goal is to empower operators to become risk managers who can make the safest decisions under all circumstances.
